How Do I Activate My Spot Card?

Congratulations on receiving your new Spot card! To start using it, you'll need to link and activate it within the Spot app.

Activating your Spot card is crucial for ensuring secure payments and unlocking all the features, including tap-to-pay.

Once activated, you'll be ready to make secure payments, use tap-to-pay, and enjoy smooth transactions with your Spot card.

Follow these steps to activate your card:

1. Open the Spot app and sign in.

2. Tap on "Cards" at the bottom of the screen.

3. Go to the Physical Cards section.

4. Select the account you want to link your card to, then enter the 16-digit card number and expiration date from the back of the card. Tap Next.

5. Enter the OTP (one-time PIN) sent to you and tap Next.

6. Set a secure PIN for your card (make sure to keep it private).

Your card is now activated!

Note: To use tap-to-pay, first insert your card into a payment device and enter your PIN once. For any purchases over R500, you'll be asked to enter your PIN again.
