Are there any fees to top-up?

Yes and No.

It’s free and instant to top-up with Ozow Instant EFT. It’s also free to top-up with EFT (heads up, takes up to 3 business days for cash to clear).

When it comes to topping up with your linked bank card, you get one free top-up to the max amount of R1 000 per month. After that, there’s a 3% fee charged on the value of your top-up. 

Here are a few scenarios on how top-up fees are applied when topping up with your linked bank card:

1. It’s your first top-up this month. You top-up with R1 000. You pay zero, zilch, nothing, no fees.
2. It’s your second top-up in a month. You top-up with R500. You pay 3% of R500, which is R15.
3. It’s your tenth top-up in a month. You top-up with R100. You pay 3% of R100, which is R3.
