We'll notify your friend that you've paid them a certain amount.
If they're a Spot user, the cash will be instantly available in their account.
If they don't have the Spot app, we'll SMS them an app download link and a message letting them know that you want to pay them. They'll need to have their SA ID or passport (if they're not South African) and proof of address handy to sign up and get FICA verified. Once that's done and dusted, the cash will appear in their account.
As the sender, you'll get a successful transaction notification and you'll see the amount you've sent as a deduction on your account.
If they don't download the app or fail to sign up and get verified, the cash will go back into your account after 7 days.
