How do I port my number to Spot Mobile?

Got your brand-new Spot Mobile SIM but want to keep your existing number? No worries—we’ve got you covered!

You can easily submit a port request in the Spot Money app by following these steps:

Steps to Port Your Number to Spot Mobile:

  1. Open the Spot Money app.
  2. Tap the "Mobile" tab at the bottom of your screen.
  3. Tap the dotted menu next to your Spot Mobile number.
     
  4. Select "Manage SIM" from the menu.
  5. Scroll down and tap "Port my number".
  6. Enter the required porting details, including:
    • Your current mobile provider
    • The phone number you want to port
    • Your South African ID number (or passport for non-SA residents)


  • If you have multiple SIMs, make sure you select the correct SIM at Step 3 before proceeding.



What Happens Next?

  • You will receive an SMS with an OTP on the existing SIM. You need to reply to the same SMS using the same OTP.
  • Your port request will be processed within 24-48 hours.
  • Once confirmed, insert your Spot Mobile SIM and restart your phone.
  • If the port fails or takes longer than expected, contact Spot Support for assistance.
