As part of the registration process, all users must complete a verification step to ensure secure and authentic account creation. This includes a liveness check, where you’ll be asked to take a selfie. Our system uses advanced facial verification software to confirm that you are the same person shown in your South African ID and that you are a live, present individual.
This verification process prevents unauthorized access and ensures that no one can register on your behalf or without your consent.
Possible Reasons for Liveness Check Failure:
If your liveness check fails, it could be due to one of the following reasons:
Poor Lighting: Insufficient or uneven lighting can make it difficult for the system to accurately capture your face. Try to find a well-lit area with minimal shadows.
Low Image Quality: Blurry or unclear images may prevent the system from detecting your facial features properly. Hold the camera steady and ensure your face is in focus.
Face Not Fully Visible: If part of your face is obstructed by accessories (like hats, glasses, or face coverings), it may impact the verification. Make sure your full face is clearly visible in the selfie.
Improper Positioning: The system may have trouble if your face is too close or too far from the camera. Aim to center your face within the frame and maintain a natural distance from the camera.
Software or Network Issues: In some cases, technical issues with the device or a slow internet connection may interfere with the verification process. Ensure you have a stable internet connection and try restarting the app if needed.
