Are there any transaction fees when paying with a linked bankcard?

Modified on Wed, 25 Sep at 12:22 PM

The fees are the same as a linked-card top-up. This means that either your 1st top up via bank card OR your first payment via a linked bank card for the month is free, up to R1000. Thereafter, you will be charged 3% of the transaction value.

Below are some examples of how are linked card fees are calculated:

  1. It’s your first linked bank card payment/purchase this month and you haven’t topped -up via credit card this month. You pay/purchase for R1 000. You pay zero, zilch, nothing, no fees.
  2. It’s your second linked bank card payment/purchase for the month. Your transaction amount is R500. You pay 3% of R500, which is R15.
