How can I make sure my Spot card is safe?

Modified on Wed, 25 Sep at 12:14 PM

First things first, choose a secret PIN number that isn’t easy for other people to figure out. Setting your PIN to 1234 or 0000 isn't going to cut it.

Never-ever disclose your secret PIN to anyone and we mean anyone.

Don’t write your PIN down.

If you’re using your card at an ATM, scan your surroundings and don’t accept help from anyone.

Beware of scammers. At Spot, we’ll never ask you to share your PIN with us under any circumstance. So, if someone reaches out to you claiming to be from Spot and asking for your card PIN, don’t give it to them and tell us about it quick-sticks.

Lastly, check your account often and review your transaction list regularly. This way you’ll be able to pick up on any transactions that don’t look right and quickly act on it.

If you think your card's been used by an unauthorized person, you can dispute the transaction in-app. Here’s how:

  1. On your Spot home screen, tap history and then tap on the transaction you’d like to dispute.
  2. Fill in the fields provided and hit Help
  3. We’ll investigate the dispute and follow up with you on email.
