Why is my linked card top-up failing?

Here are some tips that could help your linked card top-up go through successfully:

  • Make sure you have a strong and stable internet connection: For your transaction to go through successfully, a stable internet connection is necessary. If the internet is fluctuating, the payment process is affected and closing the payment window during the process can cause an incomplete or failed transaction.
  • Complete your 3D secure authentication. For the security of your card details and cash, we'll always ask you to complete a 3D secure verification before topping up. Failure to authenticate yourself will result in an incomplete transaction. Make sure your internet connection is stable so that the authentication doesn't time out. If you're still not winning, wait 10 minutes (we know this is a drag) and try again. 
  • Make sure you have sufficient funds on your linked card: Check your linked card balance and the top-up amount you've entered on your Spot app to be certain that there are enough funds to cover your top-up.
