Issue: My App Crashes When Scanning My ID
- Free up storage on your phone (at least 100MB of free space recommended)
- Restart your device to clear temporary issues
- Update your phone’s software to the latest Android or iOS version
- Update the Spot app to the newest version
- Close background apps that may be using memory
- Try installing and scanning your ID on a different device
- Contact Spot Support via help@spotmoney.com or tap Help in the app if the issue continues
Issue: I Can’t Upload My ID Document
• Confirm your ID number matches the document and is registered with Home Affairs
• Use natural lighting and avoid fluorescent lights
• Turn off your phone’s flash to prevent glare
• Place your ID or passport flat on a surface
• Follow in-app instructions and align your document within the borders
• Let the app auto-capture the image (no need to press a button)
• If scanning fails: - Adjust your phone’s position
- Tap the screen to focus the camera
- Check for blur or glare and adjust the angle
• Upload the original document only (do not take a photo of a photo)
